After finished reading Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai Manga I have to say that I love it. This Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai manga has all the ingredients you'd expect from a love affair josei, yet it turned out to be a refreshing. The characters are rather uncommon while being believable, finding myself relating to quite several peculiarities there and here.
The primary characters are of the strengths of this manga. I'd claim the secondary characters depend a lot on platitudes, being somewhat one dimensional (bighearted deliquents, superficial/hardworking girls/men), it did not look that debatable, since in comparison the main characters are fairly interesting.
Shibata, the female lead, is a failure in many things that you'd expect in life, be it in matters that are personal or professionally, and apparently being not able to take the choice that is best on pretty much anything. While quite several times I Had quit reading a manga enraged at just how dumb a character appeared to be, I could not hold despair against Shibata's blunders, because they had genuinly feel believable to me, and I enjoyed the way she'd carry on, even when recognizing the blunders.
I found that same equilibrium in the other principal characters. The male lead, Kurosawa, is fairly frequently depicted by Shibata as a devil of a supervisor (as he was her former manager), and can be very nasty with her in everyday life. Though from their very first meetings in the very first chapters, you can tell he is protective through the entire manga, and touchingly considerate towards her.
While Shibata gets to learn more about Kurosawa same things might be said, she meets other girls in his life. In the beginning, I Had believe that the manga would build up some type of an intimate competition. Rather, and possibly too readily, their side that was finer would be told.
Reading these laudatory ideas about the characters, I am certain you had believe "good, however there is nothing that particular". All in all, the manga is not a masterpiece, a must read of any types. The story is nicely told, although the manga does not hold that sort of aspiration.
What makes the entire Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai worth it's the pacing. There is always some part that I dislike, occasionally since I find the narrative not credible, or some character not coherent enough, or simply an excessive amount of play of some type. This way into the manga, the rythm functions nicely, it does not rely on plot twists or cliffhangers, while in the meantime the characters evolve through each chapter.
I'm sure it will progress better as the story continues. I urge you all to read it! I can't wait until the next chapter and I will update this review later. You can Tales of Demons and Gods while waiting for updates to my next reviews.
